As I love animals very much I had a great desire to open a high quality grooming salon. One that my clients and their owners would enjoy going to.

I decided to go to grooming school first and after some research chose a school in Las Vegas as it was fairly close to my home. After graduating from that school, which was more of a basic training I started looking into finding a more advanced school which I found in Chicago. After graduating from that grooming school I found a great location for my salon in St George.

In my travels throughout the country I have visited a great number of grooming salons which gave me lots of ideas for my salon. Now that my goal has been some what achieved I look forward to making happy customers who enjoy their time in my salon.

My name is Diana Layton. I work the front desk and the back of La De Paws. It's my job to schedule appointments, greet clients, answer questions, give tours, and do any thing else that La De Paws need. I have been with La De Paws since May of 2007 when I was hired as a bather/brusher. At the end of that year I was moved to the front of the shop where I have been ever since.

I truly enjoy my job and have the best time working with my co-workers. There's always an upbeat attitude here which I believe the dogs can sense. Everyone here enjoys what they do and never passes up the opportunity to expand their knowledge of dogs or dog behavior. Even in our spare time or on weekends. We have gone to Burbank, California to learn more about the profession we all adore.

Oh, and the next time you come in be sure to ask to say hello to Touille, my puppy. He sits behind the front desk and just loves attention.

Renee Bloom

Head Groomer/Certified Professional Groomer

Certified in Long Legged Terriers and Non-Sporting Breeds. Specializing in Terrier hand-stripping. Multiple 1st place winner in national grooming competitions. Deeply involved in conformation & grooming of Golden Retrievers. Multiple 1st placements in obedience & multiple obedience titles on various dogs. Renee was onsite groomer for a production company where she groomed dogs for major ads including Pro Plan & Milk Bone dog biscuits.

I keep up-to-date on the latest styles & grooming techniques by attending dog shows & grooming seminars across the country every year.

I look forward to working at La de Paws! I am impressed with their state of the art facility and professionalism and the talent of their groomer's. But most importantly the care they take to ensure each dog is treated with TLC!

I started working at a nice little shop in Montrose, California while I was in High School. After graduating I moved to Salt Lake City where I took a two year break from grooming to see if I could find another job as rewarding as dog grooming. That task proved to be impossible for a dog lover such as myself. I now am living outside of St. George and working for the most impressive grooming salon in this wonderful town, La de Paws. The staff here is very friendly and caring of the pets left with us. Our knowledge is continuously growing as we work together keeping up with the most up-to-date styles and techniques.

I feel I have the greatest job in the world. I get to work with cats, dogs, and some of the friendliest people in town, Animal Lovers.

Living on a small family ranch in southern Utah has given me a vast knowledge and love for animals of all shapes and sizes. When I got hired on at La De Paws as a bather in 2007 management asked me some questions and were quite bewildered when I said that I’ve been bathing and shearing show lambs for the local FFA club. A while after I was fortunate enough to be taken under the wing of our head groomer Renee Bloom who taught me how to correctly and accurately groom pets. I thoroughly enjoy working with all the other groomers and of course all the furry friends that come to get beautiful.

Hi my name is Crystal O’Connor. I am a local native of southern Utah. I have an extreme love for dogs and cats. I have spent most of my youth attending dog shows, delivering and raising puppies, and assisting my mother with group and private dog training classes. I love animals, mostly dogs. I like to make them pretty. I moved here form Springville, UT where I worked in American Fork for a year learning to groom. I received a Certificate of Completion from ABKA for animal care, office procedures and customer relations. I’m excited to work at La de’ Paws with all the people and to continue learning from them, it’s a great Salon. I’m going to love working here with all the animals.
